Dr. M.B Yusuf is a graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University and had his postgraduate training with National Postgraduate College of Nigeria with award of FMCS (Orthp). He is currently a Senior Lecturer at Ekiti State University and Honourary Consultant at Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado-Ekiti. He has Schorlay publications in both local and international journals and a reviewer to many local and international journals.

Dr Peace Amaraegbulam has the fellowship of the West African College of Surgeons. She has received different scholarly awards, orthopaedic and non-orthopaedic including International Surgical Skills Scholarship and the Emerging Leaders Scholarship of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Marcela Uribe Zamudio award for research among others. She obtained the SICOT Diploma in Orthopaedics by passing the examination and later completed a clinical fellowship in Paediatric Orthopaedics from the Hospital for Sick Children Toronto. She works at the Federal Medical Center Umuahia and has pioneered many educational activities including the AO Alliance Course on Nonoperative Fracture Treatment for non-specialists and first responders.Her research interests include clubfoot, paediatric deformities, low back pain and trauma. She has served in different local and international committees and is a senior lecturer at Gregory University, Uturu.

Prof. Anyaehie is a Consultant Orthopaedic/Trauma Surgeon at the National Orthopaedic Hospital Enugu (NOHE) Nigeria with special interest in Arthroplasty. An MBBS graduate of Abia State University (ABSU), Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons (WACS) with a PhD in Orthopaedics from ABSU. She is presently the first practicing female Orthopaedic Surgeon in Nigeria, the Coordinator of Arthroplasty and Secretary of Residency Training Committee in NOHE. She is also the Director, Institute of Orthopaedics and Plastic Surgery, College of Medicine and Health Sciences, ABSU. She is a Faculty Board Member WACS Orthopaedics and an examiner at both membership and fellowship levels. Her Arthroplasty training exposures where in Nigeria, Hungary, Dubai and South Africa. A recipient of the 2019 Hip Society Rothman-Ranawat Traveling Fellowship, SICOT meets SICOT Fellowship and an AAOS International Scholar. An author of several publications in peer reviewed journals with research interests including Arthroplasty and Preventive Orthopaedics.

Oluwadare Esan is a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Obafemi Awolowo University and a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with over 15 years of specialist experience. He is the chairman of the Education committee of the Nigeria Orthopaedic Association. His interests include deformity correction, joint replacement, and trauma. He is widely published in peer-reviewed scientific journals and is committed to principled operative surgery, empathetic patient care, and the training of future orthopaedic surgeons, with strong support from his family.

Dr Gbadebo Ibraheem is an Assoc. Professor and Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the University of Ilorin and its Teaching Hospital. He holds an M.B,B.S from the University of Ibadan; a Master of Surgery from the University of Edinburgh and is a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons. He also received sub-specialty training in paediatric orthopaedics at Cairo and Hong Kong.
Dr Ibraheem is an examiner for the West African College of Surgeons, He also serves as co-chairman for the AO Alliance/WACS Basic Surgical Skills and Pre-Basic Principles of Fracture Management Course.
His research interests include trauma, clubfoot management, limb reconstruction and clinical simulation. He has authored more than 40 publications in academic journals and textbooks.
He served as the Coordinator of the Clinical Skills and Simulation Laboratory, University of Ilorin and is the current Head, Department of Orthopaedics, University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital.

Dr. MA Shobode is an orthopaedic and spine surgeon with extensive postgraduate training and an international focus on complex spinal disorders. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Ibadan and later earned postgraduate degrees in Anatomy, Health Economics, and Trauma and Orthopaedics, including a Master of Surgery with distinction from the University of Edinburgh. He has completed advanced fellowships in spine surgery and spinal deformity across the United States, Europe, Asia, and Africa, and is a graduate of the Harvard Medical School Surgical Leadership Program.
Dr. Shobode’s clinical expertise includes adolescent and adult spinal deformity, scoliosis, spinal trauma, spinal cord injury, degenerative spine disease, spinal infection, and complex reconstructive surgery. He serves as a Consultant Spine Surgeon at the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Dala, Kano.
His academic interests focus on surgical outcomes, spinal cord injury, deformity correction, and health-systems research in low-resource settings. He is Chairman of the AO Spine West African Council, an examiner for regional postgraduate colleges, and a former Editor-in-Chief of the Dala Journal of Orthopaedics, with sustained contributions to research, mentorship, and spine-care advocacy in West Africa.

Dr Oluwaseyi K Idowu MB BS (Jos) PgCert (Karolinska) MCh FWACS FMCOrtho is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with special interest in Oncology and Joint replacement surgery. He is a fellow of the West African College of Surgeons and the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria. He attended the institute of translational medicine of the University of Liverpool, where he actively participated in the identification of circulating biomarkers of sarcomas. He also attended the Wrightington Hospital and Edge Hill University Masters in Chirurgiae course. He is a recipient of Orthopaedic Oncology fellowship at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham U.K. His dedication to improvement in the management of musculoskeletal tumours has resulted several publication and presentation at international fora as well as the foundation of the Lagos musculoskeletal oncology network (LAMON). Dr. Isa Nurudeen, MBBS, FWACS, is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and Medical Director of National Orthopaedic Hospital Dala. He is over 30 years post-fellowship of the West African College of Surgeons and has been actively involved in orthopaedic training and scholarly publishing in Nigeria for more than three decades. He has served for over a decade as an examiner for the West African College of Surgeons and has participated in the training of over 100 orthopaedic surgeons. Dr. Nurudeen is an Associate Editor of the Dala Journal of Orthopaedics and has published widely in peer-reviewed national and international journals. He is the pioneer President of the Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Society of Nigeria, a National Faculty member of AO Trauma Nigeria, and an active member of SICOT.

Dr Anthony Ayotunde Olasinde is an accomplished orthopaedic surgeon and researcher. He is a full time paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon with CURE Niger children’s hospital where is healing the sick and proclaiming the gospel. He is currently an Associate Professor of Orthopaedics and Traumatology at College of Medicine Achiever University Owo, Ondo state (part-time). Dr. Olasinde has a strong background in orthopaedic surgery, with expertise in trauma care, limb deformity correction, orthopaedic bone infections and paediatric orthopaedic surgery. He has published numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals, focusing on orthopaedic trauma, joint disorders, and outcomes of orthopaedic interventions in Nigerian populations. He is a member of professional organizations such as the Nigerian Orthopaedic Association and the West African College of Surgeons. Dr. Olasinde has also served as a peer reviewer for reputable journals, demonstrating his commitment to advancing orthopaedic knowledge. His work has contributed significantly to the field of orthopaedics in Nigeria and beyond.

Allen A. Kadado, MD, is a Board Certified pediatric orthopedic surgeon at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. He serves as Director of the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Center for Orthopedic Innovation, Director of the Nationwide Children’s Pediatric Orthopedic Residency Program, and Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at The Ohio State University. After receiving his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine, he completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Henry Ford Health System, followed by specialized fellowship training in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery and Scoliosis at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. Dr. Kadado specializes in conditions of the spine including scoliosis, spondylolisthesis, kyphosis, spinal deformity, orthopedic trauma, lower extremity, foot conditions, and general orthopedics. He offers a holistic and integrated approach, using both non-surgical and surgical treatment modalities. He has a particular interest in spinal deformity correction with fusion and non-fusion motion-preserving techniques. Kirsten Tulchin-Francis, PhD, is the Director of Orthopedic Research and the Director of the Honda Center for Gait Analysis and Mobility Enhancement at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, USA. She has nearly 30 years of experience in clinical motion analysis, with a focus on pediatric orthopedic research and the application of biomechanics to enhance clinical decision-making and patient outcomes. Her professional service includes serving as past president of the Gait and Clinical Movement Analysis Society (GCMAS), past board member of the Pediatric Research in Sports Medicine Society (PRiSM), and research committee membership of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (past, POSNA) and the American Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine (current, AACPDM). Dr. Tulchin-Francis earned her BS in Engineering from Trinity College, MS in Biomedical Engineering from Marquette University, and PhD in Kinesiology (Biomechanics) from Texas Woman’s University.

Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu is a 1986 medical graduate of the University of Lagos. He had his postgraduate education and training at National Orthopaedic Hospital Enugu and University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital Enugu. He became a certified Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon in October 1995. He is a Fellow of the West African, American, and International Colleges of Surgeons. He was Senior Lecturer and Acting Head of Surgery at Abia State University Aba Campus from 1999 to 2000, and was the pioneer Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Medical Investigations and Practice (JOMIP). He subsequently transferred his service to Ebonyi State University Abakaliki where he was promoted to the rank of Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery in October 2007.

Professor Ekere completed his medical degree at the University of Lagos in 1981 and was awarded the Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (NPMCN) in May 1990. He has undergone extensive postgraduate training both within and outside Nigeria, including Germany, France, Canada, Israel, Switzerland, India, USA, and Turkey. He is currently the Country President of the Arthroplasty Society of Nigeria, a position he holds until 2027, and serves as an examiner in Orthopaedics for the NPMCN.

He is an Honorary Consultant Orthopaedic and Spine Surgeon at Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital and Kogi State Specialist Hospital. Appointed a full Professor in 2004, he has over 35 years of continuous university-level teaching and postgraduate training experience. Professor Onuminya has served as Dean of the Faculty of Clinical Sciences and twice as Head of the Department of Orthopaedics. His research focuses on spinal trauma.

Mr Colin Nnadi is a Consultant Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUHFT), with private practice at The Portland Hospital and The Harley Street Clinic, London. He completed specialist training in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery on the Wessex rotation and was awarded the FRCS (Orth) in 2006, followed by subspecialist spine training at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, and the Norfolk & Norwich University Teaching Hospital. He has held several senior leadership roles at OUHFT, including Clinical Lead for Spine Surgery (2017–2023), Clinical Director for Neurosciences (2023–2025), and is currently Divisional Medical Director for Surgery, Women’s and Oncology. His clinical and research interests focus on paediatric and adult spinal deformity, particularly early-onset scoliosis. Mr Nnadi serves on the editorial board of the European Spine Journal and has advised NICE as an Expert Medical Technology Adviser.
