About the Journal

The Nigerian Journal of Orthopaedics and Trauma (NJOT) is a peer-reviewed, open-access, online-only journal published by the Nigerian Orthopaedic Association. The journal was initially published in print format between 2002 and 2017 and transitioned to an online-only publishing model from 2018 onward. NJOT provides immediate open access to its content in line with the principles of the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).

NJOT operates a continuous publication model, with articles published online immediately after acceptance and final production. For indexing and archival purposes, articles are organised into two bi-annual issues: January–June and July–December. Authors are permitted to self-archive the final accepted version of their articles in any OAI-compliant institutional or subject-based repository, in accordance with the journal’s open-access policy.
