Announcement: Resumption of the Nigerian Journal of Orthopaedics and Trauma (NJOT)

The Nigerian Journal of Orthopaedics and Trauma (NJOT), the official journal of the Nigerian Orthopaedic Association, is pleased to announce the resumption of publication following a period of inactivity.

Founded in 2001, NJOT was published consistently for two decades before a temporary suspension in 2021 due to financial constraints. These challenges have now been resolved, and the journal is being relaunched under a sustainable, open-access, online-only publishing model.

NJOT is now hosted on a modern journal management platform and will operate a double-blind peer-review process, with articles published on a continuous basis and organised into bi-annual issues for indexing and archival purposes.

The Editorial Board and Advisory Committee have been reconstituted to strengthen editorial oversight and ensure adherence to international standards of scholarly publishing.

The journal will shortly begin accepting new submissions. Further updates will be communicated via this platform.
